Houston, we are GO for launch
Some time ago I threatened to start a photography blog, just as soon as I got my new camera. Well, folks, that time has come. We bought the new camera and two of the best lenses we could possibly afford and I have been taking some pretty dreadful photographs ever since. You see, this camera has so many bells and whistles on it that I am still learning how to drive it. PJ has been giving me some lessons (as this is just one more of those things that simply makes sense, is completely logical... like, you know, building web-based data management systems... easy) and his explanations are really useful. I'm learning about spot metering, white balance and ISO. I don't get it yet, but I'm learning. And along the way I'm having fun. I took a bunch of photos of raindrops on the verandah this afternoon and I had to stand up on the outdoor dining table and lean my head against the overhead beams to steady myself. I got cobwebs in my hair. I've never felt so intrepid.
So here's the link to my new photography blog. I hope to post a new picture every day and perhaps when its first birthday comes around I'll have a clue what I'm doing.

Congratulations! I'll look forward to seeing your work!
